MSSC Certified Production Technician+ Skill Boss (CPT+ Skill Boss)

Built upon MSSC’s well-established Certified Production Technician (CPT), the CPT+ Skill Boss program is an innovative training and assessment tool designed to provide students with real-life, hands-on skills that carry over to careers in advanced manufacturing.

“Skill Boss”, invented by Amatrol, is the centerpiece of this new program. It’s a computer-controlled machine that performs a wide variety of functions aligned with 55+ skills drawn from the MSSC’s National Production Standards. Classroom friendly, compact, and affordable, the CPT+ Skill Boss enables programs with smaller budgets the ability to offer quality advanced manufacturing training and learning credentialing.

CPT+ Skill Boss encourages students to learn many of the technical competencies related to advanced and process manufacturing, such as safety, quality measurement, production processes, maintenance on equipment, and quick change overs. Students that have mastered these skills and earned the CPT+ Skill Boss certification come into the workforce equipped with the experience and comprehensive technical knowledge to do the job and advance quickly.
